Published author. Contemporary romance. A new chapter.

I'm Erinn Maxwell, the author of two independently published romance novels, and I'm currently preparing my first contemporary romantic comedy, The Knight Shift, for literary agent submissions.

The lessons are strictly professional. The chemistry? Not so much. 

The Knight Shift is a funny, heartfelt, sexy romantic comedy about ambition, unexpected connections, and finding love somewhere between Hollywood and the Middle Ages. 

Publishing Background: 

I'm the independently published author of Of Heather and Thistle (2025) and Of Fate and Fortune (2026), two interconnected romance novels set in the Scottish Highlands.

Through independent publishing, I've gained hands-on experience in manuscript development, book production, marketing, and connecting directly with readers. 

What's Next?

My goal is to build a long-term career in traditionally published contemporary romance, creating character-driven romantic comedies with distinctive settings, emotional depth, and plenty of humor. 

I'm excited about the possibility of partnering with an agent who shares that vision.
