Penelope Hart is an aspiring Hollywood actress desperate for her big break. James Callahan is a cowboy from Wyoming who makes his living playing a knight in shining armor at a medieval dinner theater in Los Angeles. She's determined to become a star. He's just happy to collect a paycheck.

When Penny needs riding and sword-fighting lessons for the audition of a lifetime, and James could use a little help with his acting skills, they strike a mutually beneficial deal.

But somewhere between questionable English accents, stolen glances, and strictly professional training sessions, their arrangement starts to feel a lot less like an act.

After all, the sword fights are staged. The sparks aren't.
